The Bearded Builders just finished a new sun porch on the back of my house. They demo'd the former room completely and built a new room with a slightly larger footprint. The windows, Marvin casement, and new Marvin French Door, are beautiful. They put in a cathedral ceiling with a mini split for heat and AC, and heat in the new tile floor.

I chose the Bearded Builders over two other contractors based on Houzz reviews. They estimated the renovation would take between one and two months, and it was completely finished in 6 weeks, so right on time. Their contract was explicit and they answered my few questions quickly. There was a team on the job every single day. The guys were so nice and so easy to get along with.
This project could not have been any easier. It was pleasant from beginning to end, and I would use the Bearded Builders again without any hesitation.

Bearded Builders did a renovation of my kitchen and one bathroom. I was very satisfied with the results of the renovation. My house is an open plan configuration so renovating the kitchen impacted other areas of the house, the dining room and sitting room. As an elderly person I needed help in moving furniture in these other areas all the moving was done willingly by the Bearded Builders staff. During the whole project the staff were always very courteous, helpful and consulted me whenever there was something they were not sure about what I wanted. Bearded Builders did everything possible to make the project go smoothly with as little disruption to the rest of the house as possible. I could not have been more pleased with the work they did and the help they gave me in getting through this renovation. I would strongly recommend them and would certainly use them again for any future renovations.

Recently had an bump out bench window put in our kitchen and absolutely love it. Dave, Bob and Josh were great to work with. Very professional and always checked in to make sure we were happy with the job will it was under way. I would highly recommend them and will use them for projects again in the future!

Bearded Builders renovated the first floor of our home, completely changing the feel and openness of it. They carefully worked with us from start to finish to design and build the space. Consistently, we were impressed with their professionalism and work ethic throughout the process, from our initial discussion with Kelley and Dave to the final details with Nick. Nick led the day to activities on site and was very considerate of our home, our pet, and our family. He always arrived on time and left before dinner, constantly ensuring that we were happy with every little detail. Even if your project has an issue, ours was delayed due to a fabrication issue with our countertops, Bearded Builders will do everything in their power to get the issue resolved. They listen, have excellent communication and are true professionals. We look forward to working with them again in the future.

We hired Bearded Builders to redo a kitchen and 2 bathrooms. The project involved knocking down several walls (including one load bearing one), expanding our kitchen surface area, and creating a basement bathroom where one did not exist before. We appreciate the crew's imagination in turning our rough concepts into clear designs. And we are thrilled with the execution and final product, which transformed our house. Beyond that, everyone we interacted with over the course of the project--including Dave and Kelly, the primary crew of Nick and Nick, and all subcontractors involved, were unfailing professional and conscientious and a pleasure to be around. It should be noted that this project took place during COVID, and so our entire family was home most days--no doubt complicating the ability of the crew to work throughout the house. But they were great and flexible throughout. We have already recommended this company to neighbors and plan to go back to them for any future projects.

Bearded Builders did a major renovation on our home in 2020. They turned a mudroom/laundry room/full bath/exterior porch into a fabulous kitchen! They also changed the existing kitchen into a half bath and mudroom. And also added pass throughs and doorways in other areas to open up the flow of the downstairs.

It was a great experience from start to finish. Kelley was amazing at putting our thoughts and drawings into a beautiful floor plan. We had a budget and Kelley and Dave, the owner, helped us stay on track and make decisions to stay within our planned expense. Over the months of our construction, we saw the same contractors everyday. The lead carpenter was Nick, the owners son. He has a great eye for detail and we asked his opinion several times. Ryan was the project manager, also the owners son, and he kept us up to date when things would happen. The contractors were polite and friendly and left our home as clean as could be expected when doing lots of demo! We plan on using Bearded Builders for future projects and would highly recommend them!

Westmoreland Design and Build just completed my kitchen remodel. I wanted to keep my old 1980s oak cabinets and update the rest of the kitchen to include adding a dishwasher and over-the-range microwave. The owner, Dave Price, is wonderful to work with. I told him what I wanted to do and he provided suggestions on how to get the job done. Westmoreland Design and Build replaced the kitchen countertop and backsplash, added two kitchen cabinets to allow for addition of the microwave and dishwasher, replaced the linoleum floors with ceramic tile, built a small countertop area to replace the old desk area, replaced wall paneling with drywall in the seating area and added white maple cabinets and countertop to an alcove area. I love my remodeled kitchen and so does everyone who has stopped by to see the completed renovation. I would definitely recommend Westmoreland Design and Build.

Recent work by David Price's Westmoreland Design and Build, was the third and largest job he's done for over the past few years. We appreciated the workmanship and reasonable prices of the first two so much that we didn't even bother to seek other bids after going over Dave's. The construction had three major components. The first was redoing our deck and enclosing a portion of it between our kitchen and the open deck. The result was a small, but very pleasant casual dining and visiting space. The remainder of the work consisted of gutting first and a second-floor bathrooms and completely rebuilding them with modern tile floors and fixtures. The house was built in 1930 and had the usual older house quirks, so these were not easy jobs. The result, however, was even better than we anticipated. We were quite pleased with the quality of the work, and with Dave's helpfulness and patience. The job was also done as close to on time as work on an old house can be and with minimum disruption to our lives..We highly recommend Westmoreland. Ron and Gayle Walters

Got the kitchen of my dreams. Dave & his son Nick were very professional, exceptional carpenters and also had very helpful hints for the design of the kitchen. They are personable, easy to work with, met deadlines and budget. Removed a load bearing wall between dining room & kitchen and added an arch to divide the rooms. Also moved wall out 9 inches to make space for dishwasher. Turned out great. Only gave 4 stars since the drywall on our kitchen ceiling has cracked and needs to be redone. Not looking forward to the dust mess to fix this problem and they are not sure why this happened. My only other complaint is the dust control during construction. Flimsy plastic was used to cover openings, with tape, to other rooms when they had heavy duty plastic in a box on our porch that would have done a much better job or even something more substantial would have been appreciated. Providing a cleaning service would have been nice afterwards which I read online that some contractors provide when job is complete.

We cannot say enough nice things about the Bearded Builders! From start to finish they were professional, easy to work with, meticulous and hardworking. We started our journey by working with designer Dave B. He is wonderful! Dave really took the time to make sure that we were able to get the kitchen of our dreams within our budget. Dave was also very patient with us when we were indecisive and offered excellent advice to steer us in the right direction when decision making! He was very creative with our space and budget, and as you can see from the pictures (both the before and after), it came out beautifully. Bob was assigned as our project's lead contractor, and we lucked out! From start to finish, Bob was excellent at communicating the progress of the kitchen (and sending us many pictures) as my husband and I chose not to live through the renovation. Bob made our shiplap backsplash from scratch AND handcrafted those beautiful floating shelves with built in LED lights. His whole team did a great job keeping the house clean during the reno and after. We cannot thank the whole team at Bearded Builders enough for helping make our kitchen BEAUTIFUL!

Our kitchen remodel experience with the Bearded Builders was exceptional, from start to finish. In every interaction, the team at Bearded Builders (BB) listened and offered thoughtful ideas to meet our vision for the kitchen. We had many meetings with Dave B. in their office and at our home, to lay out the vision. Dave B. created detailed visual models of what our kitchen would look like, making it easy to imagine the finished product. SPOILER: the finished product was even more amazing than anticipated! Dave B. then gave us our homework: take the list of hand-picked, top-notch vendors BB works with at select our materials, styles, colors, etc. Of course Dave gave us guidance when needed. We looked at everything from tile, cabinets, flooring, hardware, countertops, you name it. The contracting was extremely professional and followed process that was transparent and understandable. The payment terms were simple and laid out so that payments came as different pieces were ordered or arrived and portions of the project completed. As great as our experience with our designer, Dave B. was, the team of carpenters, painters, electricians, duct-workers, plumbing, tilers, etc. was equally impressive. The execution team (shout out to Dennis and Jon) are so friendly, helpful, and professional. We were stuck in our house without a kitchen during the middle of the COVID-19 pandemic and they did everything possible to make the experience as enjoyable and low-impact as possible.

We have been working with Dave Price/Bearded Builders since February, 2018- Dave gave us an initial estimate on a full remodel of a vacant house we were bidding on. We settled on the house and the project officially started in May, 2018 and we are SO thrilled with the way our home turned out!! It was a massive transformation that upgraded the original 1940's house to our modern home. They removed walls, added a kitchen island, replaced all appliances, updated flooring, upgraded lighting; they turned the wood-paneled, dark basement into a functional living/play room with a custom built-in bookcase; the tile in the bathrooms looks amazing! Dave and his entire team were very easy to work with, including their recommended vendors; they were responsive to concerns we had and quick to find solutions to bumps in the road along the way. Mr. Price and his son and several subcontractors (electrical, plumbing & painting) he normally employs did a complete kitchen remodel project for my wife and I. Our existing, 40-year old kitchen was gutted to the exterior walls, load-bearing walls were relocated, and the entire kitchen footprint was altered - the only thing that stayed the same was the kitchen sink stayed under the same window. We found Westmoreland Design and Build to be professional and thorough, the pricing competitive, and the entire finished project to be of high quality throughout. Mr. Price and his crew showed up promptly every day until the project was completed. Mr. Price, though quiet, was very friendly and considerate of our home, and made many key recommendations that we incorporated into our kitchen design. Adequate steps were taken to control dust and debris, and clean-up was performed at the end of every workday. I feel Westmoreland Design and Build added significant value to our home by creating a beautiful kitchen that encompassed all of the features and design elements my wife wanted to incorporate. I would not hesitate to contract with them again for an interior remodeling project - such as a bathroom or master bedroom suite - and have, in fact, already recommended them to my neighbors, who have also contracted with them.
